Chapel Redemption

Winter undone
seasons unsung
voice mails
answer phone calls.
Conversations end
with one-sided sins.
We go to church,
but I find no forgiveness.
What would Jesus do?
On my knees,
I’d been the one
taking back Sundays,
bringing us back to the altar,
the guilt finds fault in me.
Angels dance in your presence
my heart applauds their existence.
God’s promises dwell within us,
seeing me as flawed but loved.
