We were kids
tossing around plans
we couldn’t
possibly juggle.
But it felt good,
good to say forever,
and never to part.
We didn’t know the
other had plans,
plans that didn’t
include the other,
but it felt good
to toss reality aside
for plans together.
Even if only
for a second
lasting never.
