Don’t blame me.
I heard you
call my name.
I’m only here
to collect affection.
Don’t threaten me.
Besides, what’s calling
the police going
to do, silly?
Don’t ignore me.
I heard you
call my name.
You wanted me
more than I
ever wanted you.
You’re the reason
I left home,
my home, our
home that’s dying
with a silence
of buried secrets.
Don’t play me.
Why’d you call?
Ready to apologize?
You want honesty?
Absent your essence
I can’t sleep
without your presence.
Don’t play house
Home isn’t home,
not without you.
I stupidly cheated.
I am sorry.
Louder, you say?
I am sorry!
Don’t you forget
you helped me
bury her body?
I’m sure an
anonymous tip might
spark their curiosity.
Not that I’d
call them, though.
