Faith In Forgiveness

She tells the hours to,
but they never leave.
What’s a gal to do
when the leaves scream
in blindness through silence?
An apology to God
she can’t do it until
she knows it’s true
saving faith rests in
a life unknown in her home.
She dances, splashing
her tears like a wet
blanket slaps
the floor.
Time without faith
defeats its purpose.
