Purpose In A Blizzard

I misspelled her name in layered white flakes,
waving to no avail from a blizzard below
the hell I built,
firing a flare as a signal to screw her
well-deserved lousy karma.
I was there to set her free.
I hoped to crack into her
unbreakable attention.
Absent my faith in someone like me,
a crooked smile with a deep stare
through her wondering eyes
swept the ground beneath my feet.
Luckily, she thanked her stars
for failing in a life of endless possibilities;
the best she could find was me
in her mind of achievements.
Should I be so excited that my place
in the world is in her bed?
