Stumbling Over Love

I said no to drugs,
but I’m drunk off
her kiss.
My thin lips joined
with her sumptuous smile.
I stumbled over my dialect
sticking my tongue between her
words with an awkward
gulp.
Amused, she concealed a snicker.
I blushed at the encounter
of her dark, oval eyes.
I held her attention captive;
she wrapped my silence
in a treasure locked
with a password
to speak ill of me never.
Our bodies communicate
the language of shyness.
