Keep The House

My temper, suppressed with a white pill,
taught me how to fight
her white lies, avoiding the truth
of misery. Tempted with a kiss,
for which I didn’t ask; she stole a trick
from the treat, she’ll miss the
rest of her life.
The weight of her infidelity cracked
walls in off-shaded halls.
She’d do better escaping
this engulfed home
than cleaning up this mess she made.
