Sweeping Dreams

Sample: It was eight o’clock, and the dappled sun shone through the trees, creating mysterious shadows through the blinds. I was exhausted and curled with a fleece blanket on the leather couch that I’d repositioned in the spacious living room, gazing out the large, tinted bay window, hoping for a renewed sense of normalcy. The furniture couldn’t remain as it was before Grandma died.
