The story of my life was me at a bar
searching for a one-night stand.
The hunt was on.
I moved through a thick crowd of patrons,
brushing my hand against a woman’s shoulder.
My heart skipped its beat over the angelic being.
Not even the thunderous music could shake my gaze on her.
She had long, dark hair that fell below her shoulders, light makeup,
and lips that gleamed. She was fit and tall, much taller than me.
The kinetic energy was unavoidable.
Her eyes darted my way with frustration baked in.
I cracked a nervous grin.
Her lips loosened,
and her eyes softened,
still trained on me.
People moved along without noticing our chance encounter.
Our moment was ours alone
to cherish—another woman I took home for life.
