She’s got undiagnosed father issues.
She rambles about autumn in her sleep,
connecting the dots to a loveless childhood.
She argues, screaming her dad blew his last chance.
The strength of our relationship
afforded her access to sabotage
my good intentions and blame me
for her insecurities.
If it’s him she sees in me;
it’s part of him I see in her.
We bleed with empathy.
