Turbulent Romance

In a gazebo, I called upon ghosts
to repeat the darkest words unsaid.
My heart hangs from a noose, loosened
and tangled with knots in your empty stare.
Thick as thieves, the clouds surrounded
the stairwell through blurred vision;
I hid a sultry thought under your tongue.
I stepped over broken glass with guilty hands.
Love or a dream; I only want to make you smile.
