I read her in the magazine’s centerpiece — I studied but couldn’t build the courage to touch myself and finish what she started with a wink and a nod, wearing only a smile. Cocaine, whatever it felt like, compares nothing to the silk of her sun-kissed skin, euphoria racing through my mind, scrabbling my thoughts and rearranging life goals to fit between her bedsheets. A shadow startled me with a knock; she’s here again.
