He doesn’t show. The kid waits for the man his mother promised him would never show. The kid waits for the man with his high school girlfriend, but he doesn’t show. A man waits for the man with his daughter; he doesn’t show. A man waits for the man whose hearse drives by the church. The kid in the man saw the man in the kid.
