Alisha Vanished – Chapter 5 – Wattpad Version

“What the fuck are you guys doing in my house?” a voice echoed in the dark as he closed the door the wind whipped through the room. “Doing some detective work, are you? Listen, I don’t know you, and I don’t want to know you. Get the hell out of my house before I shoot you.” He racked a shotgun. “I’d be completely justified in doing so.” The man’s eyes scanned the living room. “It just you kids?”

Oh, fuck, I thought, swallowing hard

Oh, fuck, I thought, swallowing hard. We saw his fucking face. Fuck my life. Sorry. I’m still working on the whole cursing thing. Wish me luck. Anyway, I didn’t have any intention of dying, not now. Not like this. I couldn’t die, not without sleeping with Alisha.

I placed my hands in front of my body. “Look, we don’t want any problems,” I said. “We just want to know who you are and why you’re doing this?” I couldn’t believe this take-charge side of me because that totally wasn’t like me. I’d fold when my dad told me what to do. Mom said I needed to take more initiative, and her advice was coming in handy. “You’re taking people hostage and raping them.”

Alisha screwed up her face. “What the fuck?” Alisha said. “We want trouble. We want a lot of fucking trouble. You’re going to need a body bag.”

I rolled my eyes. “You kids got what you wanted. Now get the hell out of here.”

“Where’ not going anywhere,” Sarah said. “You’re a dead man.”

“What are you kids going to do to me?” The man laughed.

“Kill you — that’s what!” Alisha said.

“Oh, don’t act like you didn’t like our time together,” the man said. The darkness hung over his voice as it shook me with terror. “I’m the sheriff, and I’m untouchable. I run this damn town.”

Oh, fuck, I thought. He’s going to kill us now, or why would he have given us his position in this small town?

“Why are you keeping people against their will?” I said. “Don’t you care about their feelings?”

“Their feelings?”  the sheriff said. “What feelings?”

My God. This guy is a complete sociopath. He knew the difference between right and wrong; he just didn’t care. I could see blackness in his eyes where pupils should be. His unshaven face and dirty beard told me he didn’t care much for personal hygiene.

Alisha dashed through the kitchen, knocking the man over the head with a baseball bat. My Gosh. Even I didn’t think Alisha had it in her to knock the son-of-a-bitch out cold. Whatever happened in this house, she took it out on him with the swing of that bat.

Alisha doubled over, gasping for air. “Grab his feet.”

“Woah… why not just kill him and get it over with?” I said.

Alisha’s narrow eyes turned to crinkled slits. “Grab his fucking legs.”

“Fine,” I said as I swooped to pull his feet to the cage.

Alisha slammed the cage closed and clapped the dust off her hands. “Are we just going to let him die in there?”

"We've got plenty of time to think of how we're going to kill him," Alisha said

“We’ve got plenty of time to think of how we’re going to kill him,” Alisha said.

Sarah took a shower and rinsed the guilt of getting into a car with a stranger. I was sure Sarah wouldn’t hitchhike ever again. It’s sad that she had to go through all this to realize getting into cars with strangers, even the sheriff, isn’t safe.

“She’s been gone a while,” I said. “What’s Sarah doing?”

“Would you leave me alone?” Alisha said, shaking her head. “I’m sorry. I’m just thinking of how I want to kill the bastard. The quick and easy way or have him die a long a suffering death.” Alisha glanced over her shoulder in my general direction. “What say you?”

“I think we’ve gone too far, but I’m going to back you 100%.” God. Did I really just embarrass myself with the most SIMP level shit ever? I couldn’t decide whether Dad would say now would be a good time to leave or not. What I did know is, the sheriff was a dead man.
