A Guy (Dad) Died

A whisper from coffin explains away the distance he placed between us, passing the time through an upside-down smile, a single tear travels the length of my cheek.
I took chances he’d have blown.
It’s just me.
It’s just him.
It’s just us like I’d always wanted.
It’s just him looking down.
Bye, Dad.
